Okay, let's see what I can add here from my 1963 list.

    3 ¦ It Won't Be Long ¦ Beatles
My favorite Beatles track from 1963.

    15 ¦ All I've Gotta Do ¦ Beatles
These two have always gone together for me ever since I had a 4 track
tape from "Meet The Beatles" as a kid that had these 2 songs plus "All
My Loving" and "This Boy." Four track tapes did not last long. The
looked like mini 8 tracks and had 4 songs.

    21 ¦ Winter Wonderland ¦ Darlene Love
From what is IMO BY FAR the greatest Christmas album. I agree with Roger
that "Sleigh Ride" is the best track, although most people consider
"Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" by Darlene Love as the best track.
Probably partially due to it being an original song.

    18 ¦ I Saw Her Standing There ¦ Beatles
    22 ¦ Twist And Shout ¦ Beatles

Neither were on singles in the UK I think.

29 ¦ Get Back (Black, Brown And White) ¦ Big Bill Broonzy
May have been recorded earlier, Diane would know.

34 ¦ I'm Gonna Set My Foot Down ¦ Buddy Holly
Second best new track from him that year.

    35 ¦ This Boy ¦ Beatles
Not a single here, but it was in Canada as well as the UK, where it was
the flip of "I Want To Hold Your Hand."

    37 ¦ Downhearted ¦ B.B. King
This should have been mentioned on the 1963 unreleased list. It's
actually the best version of his famous "How Blue Can You Get" with a
    different title.

38 ¦ Long Gone Daddy ¦ Pat Cupp
This would have been here, but we both decided that it belongs in 1956.

    63 ¦ Roll Over Beethoven ¦ Beatles
Charted here via a Canadian single as did "All My Loving." I believe
it's the only 2 cases of an imported single that was only an LP track
making the US charts. Nowadays songs do not have to be on a single to
    chart.

    65 ¦ What's Wrong ¦ Fats Domino
Second best newly released Fats track of the year after "Little Mama."

    66 ¦ A Marshmallow World ¦ Darlene Love
There are more coming from this landmark album.

78 ¦ I Want You To Be Mine ¦ Flairs
Probably would fit better in the year it was recorded.

88 ¦ Here Comes Santa Claus ¦ Bob B. Sox & Blue Jeans

94 ¦ Parade Of The Wooden Soldiers ¦ Crystals

    111 ¦ That's What You're Doing To Me ¦ Diablos

    115 ¦ Frosty The Snowman ¦ Ronettes

132 ¦ Hot Nuts (part 4) ¦ Doug Clark & His Hot Nuts

    141 ¦ Little Child ¦ Beatles

143 ¦ Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) ¦ Darlene Love

    148 ¦ Misery ¦ Beatles

105 ¦ You Don't Have To Go ¦ Muddy Waters
149 ¦ Elevate Me Mama ¦ Muddy Waters
These might be unissued rather than album tracks.

    159 ¦ Hawaii ¦ Beach Boys

    161 ¦ Old McDonald ¦ Nolan Strong & Diablos

    YES !!!!

Someone else that had a 4 track tape player. In fact, I still think I
may have a shitload of 4 track tapes  in the attic, unless they've
melted by now. My 4 track tapes were full albums. Or custom made ones
that had as many songs as they could fit. You could switch to the other
side of the tape/album by flipping a switch lever.

Never had a 8 track. I went from my car 45 record player, to 4 track, to cassette.

Mine was not a car player. It was a portable player with a handle like
cassette players looked like later. Maybe 10 inches by 6 inches. I also
had one from the White Album with 4 songs. One was "Savoy Truffle" and I
think that the others were "Back In The USSR" and "Birthday" and "Mother
Nature Son" which I did not like and never played.

This one below is an 8 track player, but it looks a lot like the 4 track
    player I had.

Count me in the "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" as next best track
    after "Sleigh Ride" camp

And I do like Darlene's "Winter Wonderland" a lot too

    18 ¦ I Saw Her Standing There ¦ Beatles
    22 ¦ Twist And Shout ¦ Beatles

Neither were on singles in the UK I think.

Now these Beatles sides are a little better IMO. Both are on my list
"Twist And Shout" (IMO the best of their non-original sides at #221 and
"I Saw Her Standing There" at #239

29 ¦ Get Back (Black, Brown And White) ¦ Big Bill Broonzy
May have been recorded earlier, Diane would know.

I wasn't familiar with this one. It's not bad at all I'll add it to my
list. According to Leadbitter/Slaven it's recorded in 1951 for Mercury.
    Is that right Di?

34 ¦ I'm Gonna Set My Foot Down ¦ Buddy Holly
Second best new track from him that year.

Third best of the year for me

    85. Rock-A-Bye Rock rated 8
    89. Baby Won't You Come Out Tonight 8
    106. I'm Gonna Set My Foot Down 7

    35 ¦ This Boy ¦ Beatles
Not a single here, but it was in Canada as well as the UK, where it was
the flip of "I Want To Hold Your Hand."

Not listed as I never liked it

    37 ¦ Downhearted ¦ B.B. King
This should have been mentioned on the 1963 unreleased list. It's
actually the best version of his famous "How Blue Can You Get" with a different title.

What year do you show this recorded?

38 ¦ Long Gone Daddy ¦ Pat Cupp
This would have been here, but we both decided that it belongs in 1956.

Yes its now #210 on my 1956 list

    63 ¦ Roll Over Beethoven ¦ Beatles
Charted here via a Canadian single as did "All My Loving." I believe
it's the only 2 cases of an imported single that was only an LP track

As with nearly all their remakes I don't care for this one at all

    65 ¦ What's Wrong ¦ Fats Domino
Second best newly released Fats track of the year after "Little Mama."

His second best of the year on my list too---#56 and an 8

    66 ¦ A Marshmallow World ¦ Darlene Love
There are more coming from this landmark album.

This is just a 6 for me. I don't care for the song

78 ¦ I Want You To Be Mine ¦ Flairs
Probably would fit better in the year it was recorded.

#105 for me and an 8. I agree it would be better in year of recording.
    What year do you have?

88 ¦ Here Comes Santa Claus ¦ Bob B. Sox & Blue Jeans

    Just a 6 for me

94 ¦ Parade Of The Wooden Soldiers ¦ Crystals

    Ditto

    111 ¦ That's What You're Doing To Me ¦ Diablos

Good track but I don't have it listed. What info do you have?

    115 ¦ Frosty The Snowman ¦ Ronettes

    #135 and a 7

132 ¦ Hot Nuts (part 4) ¦ Doug Clark & His Hot Nuts

I don't have this listed either???

    141 ¦ Little Child ¦ Beatles

Not a track by them I list

143 ¦ Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) ¦ Darlene Love

The second best track on the Spector Xmas LP (and of course a Philles
single too). #38 and an 8

    148 ¦ Misery ¦ Beatles

Don't care for this one much - I list it as a 6

This was the very first Beatles song to be covered by another artist.
Here's black UK singer Kenny Lynch with his 1963 version

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2HyjUZ60AdI

105 ¦ You Don't Have To Go ¦ Muddy Waters
149 ¦ Elevate Me Mama ¦ Muddy Waters
These might be unissued rather than album tracks.

    Don't have these listed

    159 ¦ Hawaii ¦ Beach Boys

    #134 and 7

    161 ¦ Old McDonald ¦ Nolan Strong & Diablos

Sorry but I dislike the song intensely in ANY version!! :)

I don't know. Unca Marvy just shows it as being on the album in '63

Good track but I don't have it listed. What info do you have?

    This album:

Baby - Five Dollars/That's The Way It Goes - Five Dollars

132 ¦ Hot Nuts (part 4) ¦ Doug Clark & His Hot Nuts

    this is from here.

    161 ¦ Old McDonald ¦ Nolan Strong & Diablos

I never paid attention to the song until I saw the original 5 Keys do it
live at UGHA and it became a big favorite. Their version is a 9, Diablos
    a 7.

I always thought Jerry had the original release on this memorable Burt Bacharach song but it seems that honour might belong--incredibly--to
Miss Marlene Dietrich with her rendition (in German) "Kleine Treue
Nachtigall" which some sources put in 1963 tho others say 1964.

Personally I don't think Jerry has much to worry about tho I have to say
my very favorite version of the song has always been the 1964 Lou
