Perhaps you could re-title these lists "My Fave *Vocal* Duet Top 20." It doesn't make sense to me that you would use the technically correct
definition of "duet" and include a concerto for piano and violin or a
guitarist accompanying a singer. That never entered anyone's mind when
we had the Duets Battles, and for good reason.

I see your point but I think everyone knows the score here. I think
nearly all the records that will make these lists are vocal with the
exception of something like "Sleep Walk" in 1959 which I always liked
and which is certain to make that year's list
