    Right on Denny!

I see Robert John was 79 the same age I just reached on Monday

"If You Don't Want My Love" was easily my favorite by him.

Never liked his real biggie (in the US that is--it did nothing over
here) "Sad Eyes" much and neither did I have any time for "The Lion
Sleeps Tonight" (which I disliked mucho in any version)

Don't recall any of his earlier things as Bobby Pedrick doing anything
    for me
    either

Anyway here's where "If You Don't Want My Love" sits in my 1968 faves
    list

    30. Say It Loud I’m Black And I’m Proud James Brown
    31. See Saw Aretha Frankin
    32. Behind A Painted Smile Isley Brothers
    33. Never Give You Up Jerry Butler
    34. I’m Gonna Make You Love Me Diana Ross & Supremes & Temptations
    35. Bad,Bad Weather (Till You Get Home) Spinners
    36. Always Together Dells
    37. Wichita Lineman Glen Campbell
    38. If You Don’t Want My Love Robert John
    39. Tighten Up Archie Bell & Drells
    40. I Get The Sweetest Feeling Jackie Wilson

I dislike the 60s 'orchestral' instrumentation on all of the above
    Robert John tracks.

and every side by Bobby Pedric is mediocre or worse
(for goodness sake, Fabian is 100+ times better): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tsgJvJ6mhLs&list=PLL7n4QMVc9K9ijYun7k5MQ9JQWCbEf5Eq

Yes I had it listed twice for some reason. It was in 1967 list too

Never heard that one before, sounds very dated in 2025.

Unlike you guys, I *did* like "Sad Eyes." In 1972 he did a remake of
the Mystics' "Hushabye" which barely scraped the bottom of the BB chart,
but it got airplay in NYC and I liked that one too.
