    10. ROCKIN’ RECORD HOP CARL PERKINS (UNRELEASED) – 1958

This one is a huge favorite of mine, glad to see it on your list.

    11, I STILL MISS SOMEONE JOHNNY CASH = 1958

Not a Johnny Cash fan but very fond of this one. Bought the record for
"Don't Take Your Guns To Town" when I was 10, turned it over and was
    very pleasantly surprised.

Never heard of this before. I guess someone would not let him use the
real lyrics which he later did.

Must be a strong contender for the best version of a Hank Williams song
    as recorded by another artist

    226 ¦ The Sounds Of Silence ¦ Simon & Garfunkel - 65

Isn't the earlier (1964) LP inclusion of this song a different
    (acoustic) version?

718 ¦ Sag, Drag And Fall ¦ Sid King and the Five Strings - 55

We both seem to agree on this being Sid's best recording

Yes, sort of. IIRC, the instrmentals and echoes were superimposed over the acoustic, so it's the same performance with glitz added.

My favorite record of 1972 is "Jambalaya" by the Blue Ridge Rangers, a
10, and Fats Domino's version is a 9. But the Robbins would beat those.
It beats Hank's version for me.

    7. EL PASO MARTY ROBBINS 1959

Perhaps my all-time favorite 'story' song.

"El Paso" was game changer as to how long a single could be and still
be plrogrammed. I like all of the records Marty did on this list.
But one of my favorites is "Rose of Old Pawnee," written by Fred Rose.

Proudly, I have the recording of it that Leon Rausch did of it on his
final record before he passed away.
He was the last vocalist to sing for the Texas Playboys.
Issued in 2017 on Raincrow Records. The CD is titled "Time Changes
    Everything."
Almost forgot, my wife, Susan, sings it with him.
