    SARL WEBSITE

The SARL IT team would like to thank you for your patience while we sorted
out some gremlins in the system. Most of these are now out of the way an
d the site is very much more usable than it has been in the past few weeks
. Thank you to all those who have given us positive feedback and made som
e very nice comments - in e-mails and on the forum.
Our members abroad are still feeling the impact of some of the mitigating
measures we put in place, but these should be removed in the next few d
ays, then they too will be able to enjoy the SARL website as we now do.

The SARL would like to thank Hans van Groenendaal, ZS6AKV and Peter Hers
, ZS1PHD for the effort and commitment they showed in resolving the issu
    e.

While everyone slowly starts returning to the website, logging on to the
SA-QSL system, and trolling through the forums, the work continues fo
r the SARL IT team. New content is being put into the site by the content
developers while the portal continues to develop and evolve. The membersh
ip system is very close to completion and the team has already started wor
king on the new SA-QSL system. Discussions are also taking place about th
e future home of the RAE system, although this will not be moved until a
fter the close of this RAE registration period.

A dedicated team of developers and testers meet every Thursday evening and
continue to chip away at the to-do list. We sure could use your help thou
gh! If you have web development expertise with Laravel you could be of gre
at help to us. However, Laravel development is only one part of it - we
need content developers too. Have you thought about putting an article t ogether for the new website? If you would like to contribute to the new S
ARL website, please contact the Secretary Dennis, ZS4BS and find out h
    ow you can help!

We also need dreamers. Yes, dreamers - send us your suggestions for new
features by e-mail to om@zs2dh.co.za (mailto:om@zs2dh.co.za) and help us
create a friendly website with everything you need right at your fingerti
    ps.

From the news team, best wishes for the week ahead.
It is sad to say, but the "clever" radio amateurs who ignored the SARL C ommunication of 21 April 2021 about the ICASA Online system are now in tro
uble - their licences have expired!

Go to you local Amateur Radio Club - if you are not a member of the Club
, join the Club - and then ask for assistance in uploading the required
documentation to the ICASA system together with the application and licen
    ce fee.

No, it is not ICASA or the SARL - you are the problem!
