Naples FM Sells For $8 Million

Fort Myers Broadcasting is purchasing WAVV-FM, licensed to Naples Park, FL. from Alpine Broadcasting for $8 Million. Fort Myers Broadcasting also owns WINK-FM (AC), WTLQ-FM (Spanish Rythmic), W239CL (Spanish Tropical) and
WINK-TV. The WAVE 101.1 format is Soft AC.

KTAR News 92.3 FM in Phoenix is celebrating its 100th birthday. The
Bonneville owned station started broadcasting back in 1922. Arizona
Governor Doug Ducey proclaimed June 21, 2022 KTAR Day.

Media Monitors has promoted Frank Cammarata to Sr. VP of Sales Marketing.
John Fulbright is the new VP of Development. And, new to the company is
John Miller who begins his Media Monitors career as the Director of Product Management.

Townsquares Cherry Creek Purchase Closes

Cherry Creeks 34 stations across nine markets are now officially the
property of Townsquare Media. The announcement of the $18.75 million deal
was made back in March.

Egan previously worked with Adlarge when he ran the Almighty Media podcast network. Most recently, he created and Co-Founded Inlet TV, a digital multi-media live streaming platform.

Nielsen, Acast Release Interesting Podcast Data

Acast has released details of new podcast listener research conducted with Nielsen. The study of 2,002 UK and Irish adults who consume podcasts at
least monthly found that 45% of listeners started listening to podcasts in
the past year.
