And Brittney Griner will play on sports’ biggest stage for the first time since she spent 293 days in a Russian prison.
So the emotions will include a powerful edge for Griner. That was evident before Saturday’s practice in Paris, when she spoke to a small group of reporters about her ordeal and how it’s shaping her Olympic experience in France.
