Coco thanked all the people who didn't believe in her,
and said that while they intended to put her fire out
with water, it was instead like putting gasoline on her
fire!
I was a bit surprised when she said that, but in a certain
way, it's kinda Cool to Thank your Haters!

it's cos she's been massively over-rated by all the US commentators for years, well done to her, but it not like Sabalenka shouldn't have won. Also thanking the haters and all that rubbish looks like we could have another Osaka where she was sucked up

All she did was let the world know she follows and cares passionately about what others are saying about her, which can cut both ways. "Kinda cool" to show that inside she's still a teenager? Not IMO. Good job winning her first slam, but it's stilljust one slam, for fuck's sake. Save that stuff for your memoirs when your career is over with.

yes agreed.I've watched her image development by commercial interests, and it has
given me the disquieting notion that she'll be used as a sort of "rebel against convention" symbol, and not necessarily in a constructive way.
And further, she has given subtle indications (or not-so-subtle, given
her pushback against social media detractors) that she personally goes
along with this direction.
But it's still early to say for sure.

yes it will be interesting cos she's a Christian and she thanked God by praying after her win, of course the dumb woke cowards at ESPN tried to say she was "just taking some time out" and no doubt these types will be surrounding her now.yes agreed.I've watched her image development by commercial interests, and it has
