  • Some thought Coco Thanking her Haters was a Bit Undignified

    Coco thanked all the people who didn't believe in her,
    and said that while they intended to put her fire out
    with water, it was instead like putting gasoline on her
    fire!

    I was a bit surprised when she said that, but in a certain
    way, it's kinda Cool to Thank your Haters!

    it's cos she's been massively over-rated by all the US commentators for years, well done to her, but it not like Sabalenka shouldn't have won. Also thanking the haters and all that rubbish looks like we could have another Osaka where she was sucked up to
    so much by the marketing guys etc. she went majorly off the rails, same with Radukanu.

    I've watched her image development by commercial interests, and it has
    given me the disquieting notion that she'll be used as a sort of "rebel
    against convention" symbol, and not necessarily in a constructive way.

    And further, she has given subtle indications (or not-so-subtle, given
    her pushback against social media detractors) that she personally goes
    along with this direction.

    But it's still early to say for sure.

    yes it will be interesting cos she's a Christian and she thanked God by praying after her win, of course the dumb woke cowards at ESPN tried to say she was "just taking some time out" and no doubt these types will be surrounding her now.

    It'll be interesting to see this. Right now, to be specific, I think her commercial PR (these are her main sponsors' PR depts) are attempting to sexualize her image, and portray a certain amount of edgey attitude--and
    my gut feeling is that she, personally, sorta likes this. We'll see if
    this happens.
