    Leylah just lost to Sakkari in straight sets so a calendar slam looks a
    little less likely : )

    Leylah just lost to Sakkari in straight sets so a calendar slam looks a little less likely : )

    And a great match it was too!

    Leylah had a set point in first set but hit a bit soft volley and
    Sakkari dug it out of her feet with a brilliant running passing shot.

    Good thing was that Leylah was able to challenge & compete with Sakkari
    the entire match... much of the time looking the better player.
    The main difference was serve, Sakkari was serving bombs and made many
    aces... while Leylah's serve looked solid but rather powerless to put it mildly.

    In their previous couple matches Sakkari blew Leylah out of the court
    with her power. Not this one, although Leylah wasn't without trouble
    witrh Sakkari's power. She's a half-man really.
