Zelenskyy Acquires Highgrove House, Former Residence of King Charles for >£20Million

Ukraine's Zelensky is the New Owner of Highgrove House, Former Home of
    King Charles and Princess Diana

Royal Purchase – Volodymyr Zelenskyy is the New Owner of Highgrove
House, Previously Owned by King Charles. Highgrove House, near Tetbury
in Gloucestershire, served as the country residence of King Charles III
even after he assumed his new role as Britain’s reigning monarch.

It was purchased in 1980 by the then Prince Charles from Maurice
Macmillan, son of the former British Prime Minister Harold Macmillan.
During his first marriage to Diana, Princess of Wales, the family would
spend weekends in Gloucestershire with Princes William and Harry, before >returning to Kensington Palace.
Highgrove House, Sold to Ukraine's Zelensky for £20 Million

In 2024, King Charles III sold his residence, having owned it for 44
years. What is _at first glance surprising_ is that the new owner of the >royal estate is Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine.

Charles has been an outspoken supporter of Ukraine since the beginning
of Russia’s full-scale invasion. In February 2023, The King held an >audience with Volodymyr Zelensky at Buckingham Palace. Charles III
issued a strongly-worded message of support for Ukraine, in a statement >marking the second anniversary of Russia’s invasion in February 2024.
The unusually direct message seems to be a rallying call to keep up >international assistance for Ukraine.

The war in Ukraine has been close to the King’s heart. It may explain
the nature of an unusual sale of the King’s property to Volodymyr
Zelensky – whom Charles III probably sees as a defender of democracy.

Although there is no official statement from Buckingham Palace on the >Highgrove house sale yet, there are many details that indicate the sale
was completed in late February – early March of 2024.

Ice is hugely angry that his offer of 2 burgers and a couple of tennis lessons was rejected.

It's a sad day when we find ourselves talking about two low grade >entertainers who think of themselves as national leaders.

Worse still when we have people here who apparently feel the need to try
to choose between them for one of them to admire.

They're both flawed. Still, one of them is leading a country that was attacked by Putin. Tough job.

It's a sad day when we find ourselves talking about two low grade >entertainers who think of themselves as national leaders.

Hmm. Even allowing for their strikingly different circumstances, it's
clear that we have two completely different animals here. Zelensky has
united his country behind him with approval ratings that Putin would
not even dare to fake. Trump was probably the most divisive president
in history, both at home and abroad. Zelensky risks his life by making
frequent morale-boosting trips to the front lines, while Trump is
clearly disdainful of the military, having previously described POWs
and KIAs as "losers". He even had a go at Haley's husband for his
absence on her campaign trail, probably ignorant of the fact that he
was a military man, away serving somewhere. Where's Melonia anyway?
    Etc., etc.

Worse still when we have people here who apparently feel the need to try
to choose between them for one of them to admire.

    I rest my case.

Hey Icey, I've got a great stock tip for you.... DJT.  To the moon!!!!!

"The SEC document filed by Trump Media this morning, which announced the
public stock offering of 21.5 million shares, also detailed the
company’s “risk factors.” These statements are standard for publicly traded companies, and usually include anything from macroeconomic
headwinds to worst-case scenarios like earthquakes or terrorist attacks.

But an entire section is dedicated to Trump-associated risks, making
Truth Social’s risk factors unique because they cast Trump’s role as
chief promoter and majority shareholder as a threat to the company’s
    success.

“TMTG may be subject to greater risks than typical social media
platforms because of the focus of its offerings and the involvement of President Donald J. Trump,” the company said in the SEC filing. “These risks include active discouragement of users, harassment of advertisers
or content providers, increased risk of hacking of TMTG’s platform,
lesser need for Truth Social if First Amendment speech is not
suppressed, criticism of Truth Social for its moderation practices, and increased stockholder suits.”

Here’s how Trump Media says Trump himself could threaten the company:

    • Trump’s Legal Issues
    • Trump’s History of Bankruptcy
    • Other Companies Refusing to Work With Truth Social
    • Trump’s Use of Other Platforms
    • Politically Motivated Hackers
