• If you've read his recent interviews

It seems Nadal wants to play tennis so that his son can see him playing and remember him as an active player. There was a sentence like that a couple of times.

It's something Federer, Murray, Djokovic did and Nadal can't have that thing which other guys from Big 4 had, or if he wants it, he must play well past his peak.

In a way, I feel Nadal is the guy who wanted to postpone family until his career is finished and never thought about stuff like that "I want my kids to see me playing". I remember his older interviews, he didn't expect to play beyond 30.

And as it turned out he had immensely and long career, the family got postponed well into his late 30s.

Then he had it and I feel he kinda regrets not having family sooner. He probably realizes now it's *not that difficult* certainly for someone like him and can be fun to travel with his family and kid, allowing his son to witness and see such a grand
    career firsthand.

I reckon he's tempted to stay on tour because of his son so it's not impossible that we'd see him next year or at least in some kind of reduced schedule, especially since he's a Saudi ambassador for tennis.

    Assuming he's healthy.

For how many years is he going to give these farewell speeches at every
    stop? "Hey. Rafa's leaving again!"

I think Murray will keep playing until 60 to stay away from his

I can't blame Murray (or any man) for that..."happy wife = happy life"
    and all that entails.
