    Such a shame Fognini retired from his QF before stepping on court, it forced Djokovic to have a 5 day rest between Round 4 (May 29) and SF against Federer (June 3).

    From Gasquet to Federer with a 5 day break in the middle of a slam is tough.






    He had a lame start to the match, was cold after being used to play every day and win 41 matches in a row.

    He almost pushed it to 5, which he would have won.


    A Grand Slam lost, really.

    I don't have too many expectations at this point but a 25th would be cool.

    Yes, but what great sportsman Novak is. He always gave credit after
    painful losses. Much better in that aspect than Federer. Very perverse
    that sportsmanship award.

    One of Fed's best ever clay wins. I'm struck what a good loser Novak
    is, very gracious to Fed at the net, and then you see his
    disappointment. He's a true sportsman, able to be gracious after a
    painful defeat.
