  • Dark days for Mediterranean football

    Halftime, Italy down 0-1 against Sui.

    This must be the doltest Azzurri I've seen. Technically mediocre, can't
    string two passes together, haven't seen a striker in the team yet.
    Donnarumma is still magnificent.

    Brilliant pass, a brilliant run into the empty space and some nice
    handling by the guy that scored for the Swiss.

    What's in store for the second half? Nothing much. But you need only one
    lucky bounce and some more dicking and dithering to have a shoot-out.
    Not the most fabulous prospect but that's what you've got to hope for.

    How did that come about? Italy's kick-off. They put the ball back to a defender. The defender dude promptly passes it to the Swiss team that
    attacks and scores within seconds.
