I watched it. It is unbelievable that the
    Portuguese goalkeeper blocked the first
three penalty kicks! It made all the difference.

Yes, without him blocking it, Slovenia would score 3 times and who
    knows.

Bleeped over parts of it, watched some. Not inspiring play. Portugal had
mostly one trick. To find Ronaldo's head with an aerial. Boring.

Svn is an inferior team. But fussball allows these teams to qualify if
they have some kind of defence. Not particularly viewer-friendly.

If you FFd it to the shoot-out, you missed only the almost disastrous
pass by Pepe. Whattan end to a career that would of been.

France-Belgium ... that was another story. Great super tactical,
technical, continental football. Wise, risk-avoiding, yet continually on
the prowl for openings. Continental football is all the craze these days
in Europe. If you look at possession, France appeared to be in control,
but it was Belgium that was 2-1 with shots on target (France was better
with semi-serious attempts). That one shot by France went in. Was
chalked as an own goal too.

France, always a pet, should consider itself a bit lucky despite being
    the better team.

The upper half of the bracket is a nightmare:

    Spain v. Germany
    France v. Portugal

A fest of the best Continental/Mediterranean football can offer (minus
Italy)! Both the QFs could well be a final. Too bad only one of these
    teams can advance.

Can France finally score and get past Portugal? Spain/Germany? That is
    the question. Whatta tournament.
