Fluke again?
What say rst?
She has appear to me to be motivated and focused for the last few weeks. Certainly she has the goods.
I mean, even if she doesn't get much farther she has demonstrated
renewed motivation to compete at the highest levels.

Still would be unique to win Wim/USO and nothing else.
Speaking of records Shelton has taken 5 sets to win his 1st 3 rounds
here. If he wins 1 more I think he equals the all time record of 4
5-setters at any 1 slam;
Albert Costa (2003 French Open)
Nicolás Lapentti (1999 Australian Open)
Todd Martin (1994 Wimbledon)
Steve Denton (1981 Australian Open)
She'll have 2 slams out of 2 total titles won.

If she, again, beats only choking Sakkari... and hasn't been able to win
any other titles... yes, it's darn close to luck.
Anyway, she hasn't won the title yet. It appears she's playing well,
grass probably suits her style of play best and she has home crowd
advantage. I think it's possible but unlikely due to her facing living legends like Lulu Sun as early as fourth round...

1 slam can't be a fluke either. It can be '1 slam wonder'.
Not sure if '2 slam wonder' makes sense?

I never liked the term one slam wonder. Even a pro who has one only slam
has put in their 10,000+ hours of training.
Not sure if '2 slam wonder' makes sense?
I doesn't.

Yes it can be a fluke.
Many examples.

You're putting cart before the horse.
Yes, Raducanu has very good draw up until the semis.
But will probably lose there to Gauff/Paolini.
I think Rybakina will win the tournament. Beat Wozzy 0 and 1. Wozzy
plays a lot like Raducanu.

I can't think of any examples.

"Hewitt is a fluke slam champ. Keep in mind yes he won 2001 USO, but
Sampras crushed him in 2000 USO & Agassi did likewise in 2002 USO. 2001
he was lucky to beat Roddick in 5 set q/f.
Hewitt would have maybe 1% chance of beating peak Sampras/Agassi in
slams? Maybe 1.5% but that's max."
I said 'if' she wins. Yes she can lose to the Croatian Sun in today's
match (Croatian father, Chinese mum), but we can't rule out her winning.
She'll have 2 slams out of 2 total titles won.
