As a semi-interesting aside, The Finnish language didn't originally
(have the ability to) make a distinction between "look" and "see". The
Finnish word for "look" has Germanic origins whereas the word for "see"
has Ugric roots. Not sure, but I believe the Mongolian language is
similar in this respect. Mongolian is also postsuffix-heavy as the
Finnish language is.
