    Hard to see Rafa winning as he has currently some rather big issues...
    1. He's one step slower, and poor at changing direction
    2. His return is not there really
    3. I doubt if he has enough rally tolerance, the errors are likely to come
    4. He seems to have lost his dtl fh

    Then again, he looked fine today in set 1... so who knows if he comes
    all guns blazing to the fina...I mean 2nd round. I sure will be watching.

    If Djoke wins, fine... then I'm rooting for Alkie for singles AND
    doubles... :)

    I just watched the highlights now and it was clear he was
    reluctant or unable to move to his right side (probably an injury
    or pain in that area).


    Novak has Olympic pressure and Nadal can take 1st set I reckon with
    crowd behind him, Carlos in the stands etc. Novak is fave but not as
    much as bookies are saying.

    Yes. today Monday.
    I thought it would be tomorrow but no... damn.

    2nd match on Lenglen... should start around two-three hours, roughly at 1.30pm-ish CET. So ET would be 6 hours less, I think. Apparently there's
    some ladies match before it. The Olympic tennis pages seem a bit of a mess.

    Also, Leylah won her first match, beating #30 Muchova in three...
    apparently playing well and definitely looking perky in her red outfit.

    Novak has never beaten Rafa 6-0 in a set


    Obviously the gold is a huge motivation, but I think he also doesn't
    want 30-30 v Nadal and wants to remain ahead in the h2h. That's another
    thing in his favor when goats are compared by future historians. Novak
    is well aware how important this match is and looks to be back to his
    very best. Great stuff.
