He found his perfect day and perfect match today. I believe the slowness of clay took a little edge of his aggressive game and flipped the result to Novak.A good lesson for Alcaraz at age 21 that should shape him to a much better player. Time to head
    to us open.-- ----

It would not have been possible without previous battles vs Nadal on this court in Paris and on clay in general and the vast experience and abilities he acquired over the years.

Literally this was perfect alignment for him. On what other court or surface could he have done this vs Alcaraz?

He played a perfect match, arguably the best ever, with arguably highest motivation ever without a single sign of nerves, perfection really.

And he barely won 7:6 7:6.

    Alkie returned like an asshole.

Anyway, congrats Novak. Now he's undeniable GOAT, as we could see from
    his endless tears.

I thought Carlos would win right up until Novak got to 6-2 in 2nd set
    t/b : )

Novak is the only man in history to not drop a set on the way to gold.
Also the oldest champ : )

Novak is simply incredible. Just willed himself to produce tier 1 goat
level shots at age 37. What can you say - privilege to see it.

Yes this will just make Carlos a bigger beast v the field when Novak
    retires.

It would be fitting to win at least 1 more slam to get to 25. He'll be
hot at USO, capable of beating anyone. He'll need to avoid long 5
    setters at this age though.

Let's not forget about how Novak went to the Tokyo Olympics in 2021 to
try to win the CALENDAR YEAR GOLDEN SLAM. He was running on fumes and
many, including I, thought that he shouldn't go to Tokyo. Yet he did and
still got to the finals of the US Open before losing the calendar year
    Grand Slam. GOAT
