Sinner does not use string dampers.
Good man. I've always viewed dampers as a new-fangled gadget created to appeal to pussies.

I've read about this before, but he apparently uses something different,
or at least did. See this article https://www.supertennis.tv/News/Campioni-next-gen/191106-la-racchetta-di-Jannik-Sinner-alle-Next-Gen-Atp-Finals
Here is a translation of the section above the picture:
"Very special details – he continues is that he wants pieces of a
special fabric to be inserted into the three central vertical cytows
inside the heart of the racket. The location is the one that is normally
used for the so-called "power pads" in leather that were once used to
protect the wood of the rackets from the passage of the ropes and today
are required by some players, including Roger Federer himself, because
it is believed that they improve the thrust and comfort of the 6 central vertical strings. This fabric should have important peculiarities in
terms of vibration absorption."

"new-fangled gadget"? I have used vibration dampers since I seriously
got into tennis. That was last century and a few years more!
I immediately notice when my vibration damper leaves my racquet as it
feels 'stiff'. Won't play without them. But then everyone who plays
serious tennis has their own preference...
