• Tennis racquet comparison

    From Scall5@21:1/5 to All on Sun Oct 13 19:52:18 2024
    Does anyone know a good website that compares older tennis racquets
    versus the latest ones? I would like to demo some new racquets but sadly
    have noticed that most don't offer a 4 5/8" grip anymore. That is what I
    use and want to continue with that grip size. Any suggestions?

    My current racquets are great but they are 20 years old. Since I have
    three racquets, don't abuse them, and keep them in a climate controlled environment (except when playing); they have held up well.

    I use the Wilson Hyper ProStaff 6.5 Midplus and here us a website that
    reviews this awesome beast:

    Thanks in advance!

    I switched to this racket a few months ago, very happy with it. Need to
    hit the sweet spot for max benefit, moreso than other rackets;

    They have the wrong pic in that link as it's the 'Team' version. Mine
    is the standard pro staff;

    I went the 3/8th with overgrip.

    I am surprised you are saying that there is no grip 5 any more, but I will choose to believe you, I guess.

    Anyway, an overgrip should take you from size 4 to 5.

    Over grips can slide around when hitting. I want my grips to be very
    firm. Especially when returning hard hit shots.
