Hello!
Dominic Thiem played his last professional
tennis match in Vienna ATP500 yesterday. He
lost to Luciano Darderi.
Thiem was a great player, but never the same
after his wrist injury. His comeback was a
total failure.
I hope he will enjoy his life as a free man
now, without the pressure of tennis matches.

Well, at least based on his interviews, he
comes across as a rather modest individual. He
just said that when he was starting, his only
goal was to be a professional tennis player.
What he eventually achieved exceeded
all his wildest expectations.
He has also admitted that he was often
a nervous wreck on court and that winning
US Open did not liberate him from anxiety
he feels when he is playing. That's very
human and not egotistical.
Last, Thiem surely did not play in shithole
countries like did Rafa, Djoker, Rune,
Medvedev, Sinner and Alcaraz. Those bastards
will stay on my shitlist forever and I
will never forgive them for being assholes.
They are great players to be sure, but as
human beings they are lowly scum of the
earth! I know it is true!

Give it a rest, Thiem 100 percent would play anywhere for money.

By all accounts he is a total arsehole. He was against lower ranked
players getting a prizemoney boost (opposite to Djokovic's views),
arguing they need to become better players. That's easy to say, but you can't have more than 50 players worldwide in the top 50 at any one time,
so how do you keep the standards high in the lower ranks? You don't,
and that's partly the reason there's less competition then there should
be in tennis. Imo the top 1,000 players need to earn enough to pay
their expenses and put a little away, stop very good players giving it
away due to financial reasons.
I also found his game and personality dull, so won't miss him at all.
