pure raw talent but it's still pure and raw which needs a> great coach to shape it into a killer game.Do you have any specifics for his mechanics? I'll start by saying I've noticed a tendency to hit into the net much more frequently than before, esp
forehand. It could be that he's simply trying to cut it too fine, too close to the top of the net, but it's happening too often for that, I think.Assuming grip is the same, there are two mechanical things that often cause this. One is to come up out of
his strike stance a little early--and this is to get re-centered quicker. The other is to never actually get down for the shot, but to hit from a more upright position than previously. Not sure which, if either, is going on.Your opinion? You are one of
the few "mechanics guys" here, pete.

He's too short for top level guy.

Nobody wants to say the obvious thing.

    What do you think?

I think he should consider a SF at Wimbledon this year a success based
    on this past.

He was sick when he lost to Medvedev last year. You will have to
list the players that are better than him then determine who can
    beat him.

He lost to Novak twice at Wimbledon, 2022 q/f after leading 2-0 in sets,
and a straight set s/f loss in 2023. So that's a good sign it took the
best to knock him out. Carlos beat Novak last 2 Wimbledon finals, 5
sets in 2023 and straight sets 2024. So looks like Carlos will be fave
if he can play somewhere near his best form, particularly given he's 3-0
v Sinner h2h in 2024 when Sinner was nearly unbeatable all year.

I'd say Carlos is the fave, and Novak/Sinner about equal 2nd faves.
