Does this mean that you think the Federal Government will act as in the

I meant something much deeper and disturbing than this.

Thanks for the answer, yet no answer. :)

Admittedly we'd rather not sink to the insignificance of Yugoslavia if we can help it...

    Apples and oranges, as usual.

    Let's go step by step.

You have to be realistic in life. Grounded in reality.

Our current insignificance is ok. We were redlining as Yugoslavia and peaking beyond our ability and size. In a historical timeline we were Söderling moment to beat Nadal at FO.

    That can't last.

There's no way that a country of our size, could be sort of #3 in the world, leading more than third of the world. It was a unique set of historical circumstances and cunning leadership.

    Humorous memes cover this.

Now, if you're afraid of becoming "insignificant", I'd really like to ask you what do you mean by that?

Because the way I see it, you are well on that way as a country, diluting ethnic majority and off-shoring industry. That's a guaranteed way of becoming not merely insignificant, but becoming nothing and no one.

Those two actions, increasing diversity and deindustrialization is like committing double suicide e.g. Hitler took a cyanide pill and shot himself seconds afterwards.

Trump is kinda interested in stopping those processes, at least it seems, yet you oppose him?

I really can't argue with you if you see him as the "problem" in any way and at the same time you claim you want to be "significant" as a country, then it means you're just crazy I guess because it's quite a schizophrenic stance?

As for materialism, I don't see 10% or 20% living standard as something truly important, especially if it is the price to sort some things right for future prosperity.

If it was a meaningless loss of living standard for no purpose, then yeah, that's annoying, but it's not the issue here, is it?
