First place, there isn't just one single flavor of Aquatic
Ape. In a different thread, elsewhere, I was just
reminded that there isn't a single "Multiverse" hypothesis
either. In fact, until something is raised to the level of
"Scientific Theory" it would be unusual for everyone to
be agreeing on one single model.
I've never envisioned a Homo population mermaids, and
I never met anyone who did. But I've still found plenty to
argue about WITH other Aquatic Ape accepters.
Where there is room for argument, you will find argument.
Period.
And this video cherry picks what amongst the various takes
on Aquatic Ape it will react to.
So right there it's not too good.
BUT MORE THAN THAT it "Over states" it's own case, and by
that it EXCEEDS it's own case by a very wide margin. Take
Omega-3s for example. It offers no explanation what so ever,
pointing towards cooked meat -- as if that's a great source --
and our lengthy childhood/developmental period... no explanation
there!
Break it down for us: How much DHA were they getting for all
this cooked meat?
Oo! Almost forgot...
They claim the loss of a sagittal crest caused our big brains. Or
tried to make that claim... along with cooked meat, a lengthy
developmental stage of because apparently Intelligent Design
was a thing, and bigger brains would be useful so the designers
made them that way...
Does anyone really believe that ANY species couldn't do better
if they had our intelligence? Because it was never about benefit,
everything would benefit from being smarter, that's Intelligent
Design and not evolution.
So it's a very bad video.
It's desperate. It sets up straw man arguments to knock down,
but doesn't even knock them down.
