By Anne GibbonsThe story is rubbish. They're related to people in Siberia and the Americas but
at the same time genetically isolated and didn't interbreed.
It's not saying what you think it says, and they are far too recent to be that
important to the peopling of the Americas.
Fact is, the closer you get to the present, the more DNA lines go extinct. It's
really not surprising that their DNA really only bears similarity to populations
which were isolated themselves. What would be surprising is if we expanded the data, including samples from DNA representing the entire region, and we didn't find a great more similar lines.
DNA just plain doesn't work the way the media tells us it works...

Hmm. So you think that mentioning that a 22 year old paper lacked
the DNA claims is adding a lot to the topic? Wow. You wish you
had a brain to fart...
-- --I did not mention America, you did. Stop being stupid. The topic refers to the mummies of the Tarim basin not the dummies of SAP, brainfart.

"But a new study of the mummies’ DNA finds they were locals with deep roots in the
region. Indeed, they appear to be relics of an ancient population that disappeared in
Eurasia after the last ice age—one that was ancestral to Indigenous peoples living in
Siberia and the Americas today.
"It’s “fantastic” to learn that these mummies were local Asians, says Alison Betts, an
archaeologist of Scottish descent at the University of Sydney who was not involved with
the work. "
Barber's very good 1999 "The Mummies of Urumchi" had little on DNA work as the tools
weren't available yet.

That's not even not funny. Psych. projecting is beyond your ken

Your confusion is uncalled for.

accused me of inventing the connection to the Americas, you were so busy catching

You didn't even read your own cite, even hanged yourself on your own rope
of ignorance by insisting that there was nothing about the Americas and
it was all a brainfart... you never even reached two paragraphs into your
own cite, you're THAT ignorant...
This isn't going to go away. No pathetic attempts at your (f)Lamming is
going to change this fact: You never read your own cite before posting
it, and you rudely defended your ignorance on the matter.

You're embarrassed by your stupid mistake. Well, getting caught
anyway.
You posted a cite you never even read, much less understood and
got caught after displaying your ignorance of it's content.
Now you can't emotionally deal with your exposure so you're playing
this OCD game in order to distract from your stupid mistake.
It can't work. It's highlighting your stupid mistake. It's reminding you,
the only audience you care about, about your stupid mistake.
