Trump says Venezuela has failed to take in violent
    illegal immigrants from
    the US

President Donald Trump says he is reversing a Biden-
    era grant allowing
Chevron to operate within Venezuela on Wednesday.

Good news. When Canada shuts off the supply of oil
sands bitumen, Venezuela was the only option to
provide replacement and the mid-west oil refineries
    can't refine anything else.

Great news for Canada, bad news for the USA.

Watch prices of gas soar big time!

Trump says Venezuela has failed to take in violent illegal immigrants from
    the US

President Donald Trump says he is reversing a Biden-era grant allowing
Chevron to operate within Venezuela on Wednesday.

Trump detailed the decision in a lengthy post on Truth Social, stating
that Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro had not upheld his end of the
    bargain.

"We are hereby reversing the concessions that Crooked Joe Biden gave to
Nicolás Maduro, of Venezuela, on the oil transaction agreement, dated
November 26, 2022, and also having to do with Electoral conditions within Venezuela, which have not been met by the Maduro regime," Trump wrote.

"Additionally, the regime has not been transporting the violent criminals
that they sent into our Country (the Good Ole’ U.S.A.) back to Venezuela
at the rapid pace that they had agreed to," he added.

"I am therefore ordering that the ineffective and unmet Biden "Concession Agreement" be terminated as of the March 1st option to renew. Thank you
for your attention to this matter!" Trump continued.

Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodriguez described the decision as "inexplicable" in a statement on Telegram, arguing it was a "failed
    decision."

"The U.S. government has made a damaging and inexplicable decision by announcing sanctions against the U.S. company Chevron," Rodriguez said.

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio later said on X that he will provide foreign policy guidance to terminate all Biden-era oil and gas licenses
"that have shamefully bankrolled the illegitimate Maduro regime."

Chevron exports about 240,000 barrels per day of crude from its Venezuela operations, over a quarter of the country's entire oil output.

How does Venezuelan oil reach California? Panama Canal?

    Who cares?

    American refiners, that's who.

Most Americans don't realize that the US has been importing crude from Venezuela for 80+ years ... it is why US Gulf refineries are chemically configured to run on light/sweet instead of Canadian heavy/sour.

If you want some additional history on this, read "U-Boats of the
    Caribbean" by Gaylord T. M. Kelshall (1994).

One of the stories documented in there was a U-Boat sortie that wasn't
finding targets so they ventured into extreme littoral Venezuelan waters
and sank two small "liter" crude tankers before they ended their patrol.

What they didn't realize was that those two liters represented 20% of
the US crude transfer fleet, which sent the US into a tizzy over an unrecognized strategic vulnerability.

The net outcome of this was the creation of Caribbean-wide air patrols,
which is why every Caribbean island has an airport for modern tourism.

That would be an unprofitable waste considering Venezuela is right
    across the Gulf of America.

Oil tankers to TX, TX pipeline to AZ, AZ pipeline to CA. Sometimes
    trains depending on product.

California buys very little oil if at all from Venezuela now.

California should pump it's own oil and stop polluting the ocean from
natural leaks. It leaks 5,000,000 gallons a year.

    https://incidentnews.noaa.gov/incident/8934/22546/26338

California is probably buying it from Russia.
