Matthew 7:15-20 NIV
15 “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing,
but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. 16 By their fruit you will
recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from
thistles? 17 Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree
bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree
cannot bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is
cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus, by their fruit you will
recognize them.
1 Corinthians 5:11-13 NIV
11 But now I am writing to you that you must not associate with anyone
who claims to be a brother or sister but is sexually immoral or greedy,
an idolater or slanderer, a drunkard or swindler. Do not even eat with
such people. 12 What business is it of mine to judge those outside the
church? Are you not to judge those inside? 13 God will judge those
outside. “Expel the wicked person from among you.”
A good tree bears good fruit. A bad tree bears bad fruit. By their fruit
you will recognize them. The drug trade is a bad tree. It yields
kidnappings, and kidnappings yield death for innocent people. You must
expel the drug trade from among you. Do not eat with drug traffickers.
Do not go to their parties, do not envy their goods. Do not invite them
to your gatherings, and shun them on the street. Drug traffickers are idolators, and they worship cocaine and marijuana. Dig up the bodies of
the big traffickers and throw them in the ocean. Do not let them have
rest among you, even in death. Expel the wicked person from among you.
The goal is to stamp out the drug trade. If you need help, ask the
United States, and they will help you. The goal is to have a peaceful
society.
