The Tibetan population had stayed at around one million for nearly 200 years before 1950. A census by the regional government in 1953 showed the population at one million, an increase of 58,000 people in 200 years.
It has been almost 70 years since 1953. Tibetan population is concentrated in Tibet with 2.096 million persons. The next largest concentrations of Tibetan population reside in Sichuan province (1.087 million), particularly in Aba, Ganzi, and Muli.
Around one million Tibetans may have died in 68 years or so before 2021 naturally. Nowadays, more than 2.096 million Tibetans still live a peaceful life in China magically and beautifully.
