The U.S. government trusted by 39% of the people.
Shouldn't a "of the people, by the people, and for the people" government also at the same earn people's trust?
Why so many in the West still consider the US a democracy and China the opposite of democracy?

China has done well with a whopping 91% of people trusted the government in creating and approaching people-centered policies to achieving prosperity for all.

China has done well with a whopping 91% of people trusted the government in creating and approaching people-centered policies to achieving prosperity for all.To be fair, China did not get 91% trust all the time. But then the issue is not absolute performance but relative.
The puzzle over the years is that why a self proclaimed model of democracy could not earn the trust of its people.
To the extent that Americans are not an ungratious bunch and they fail to appreciate how government officials have been
responding to their needs and desires and working selflessly all the time.
This leaves only one conclusion, the US and perhaps the West get democracy wrong.
