It was just an occasion for the American politicians to criticise and condemn China.
The issue of TikTok is obvious. Like Huawei, ByteDance, Tik Tok's parent company, is another Chinese company which is a world beater. Therefore it has to be cut down to size, better still, obliterated. This is American way of competition. It's notabout how to be better than the competition. It's about how to thwart the competition, or better still, kill it. The Americans just cannot compete anymore.
