A 1-month-old boy in a car seat was found in a road’s median, Colorado officials said.
On Christmas morning, Adams County deputies got a call about a baby left
in a median with nothing on but a diaper, according to a Facebook post by
the sheriff’s office.
Officers responded to the scene and found the newborn in his car seat in
the median of the road before transporting him to the children’s hospital
as a precaution, officials said.
Police couldn’t find the baby’s parents, later identified as Jarvis Sims,
42, and Christina Thurman, 33, and asked the community for help while
trying to recover any camera footage available, officers said.

Eventually, Jarvis and Thurman were found and arrested on felony child
abuse charges, officials said. Adams County is about a 60-mile drive
northeast of Denver.
