Terry Williams, 41(Douglas County Corrections)
Just before 6 a.m. on June 15, Omaha Police responded to an adult female who reported that she had been raped in the area of 12th and Gallup Drive. The victim told officers that she was on a walk when Williams began following her.
The woman told police Williams struck her in the face before forcing her to have sex with him. She was eventually able to escape and find help nearby. Based on the victim’s description, OPD investigators identified Williams as the suspect.
Williams agreed to be interviewed and told officers that he remembers having sex with the victim but that it was consensual. He claimed he had made arrangements to have sex with the woman for money and denied ever striking her, but the police affidavit
states that the officers on scene noticed bruising on the victim’s face consistent with being punched.
Williams’ bond is set at $750,000. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Aug. 7. Williams previously served a 6-12 month sentence in Lancaster County for soliciting prostitution in 2017.
