The woman approached the governor as he prepared to enter an SUV imploring
him to take action amid the ongoing wildfires, FOX 11 Los Angeles
reported.

In the video, the woman, who is in the Pacific Palisades area, is in the backseat of the vehicle as she can be heard saying "Is that Gavin Newsom, that’s the governor, that’s the governor," the woman said.

"Governor, I live here governor, that was my daughter’s school governor.
Please tell me what you’re going to do," she said.

Newsom responded to Darvish by telling her "I’m literally talking to the president (President Joe Biden) now to specifically answer the question of
what we can do for you and your daughter."

She then asked the governor to hear the call, adding that she wants to be present when Newsom contacts President Joe Biden, and demaded to hear the
call.

Newsom apologized to the woman, sharing with her that he has four
children. "We’re getting the resources to help rebuild," the governor
said.

She then replied, "Why was there no water in the hydrants?" as she then
asked Newsom "What are you going to do and is it going to be different
next time, and I will fill up the hydrants myself."

The governor has faced criticism from some residents for water
mismanagement as fire hydrants in Los Angeles have run dry as the
wildfires continue to cause massive damage to the area.
