Walker is wanted on charges of murder and aggravated robbery in connection
to a Jan. 4 shooting that left 74-year-old Edith Moore dead.

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio — Cleveland Heights police are asking for the
public's help finding 23-year-old Amin Walker, wanted on charges of murder
and aggravated robbery in connection to a Jan. 4 shooting that left 74- year-old Edith Moore dead and an 18-year-old hospitalized.

"What I do know about the case, I can't share too much, but he's a threat
to our communities and needs to be located," said CHPD Chief Christopher Britton.

This is not the first time 3News has covered Amin Walker — he was arrested seven years ago after he and other teens shot at a Catholic Priest in Collinwood and caused him to fall while fleeing.

That priest, Father John Kumse, spoke at Walker's sentencing in September
2019. He told Walker he was praying for him and said, "Either you learn
from your mistakes and become a better man, or you continue down the wrong
path that will lead you nowhere."

Walker gave a statement before sentencing apologizing for his actions and committing to lead a life of faith that would honor his family.

"That was me and I made a poor decision, but I don't want it to be my downfall," Walker states at the time.

A judge sentenced Walker to five years for aggravated robbery, on top of a
one year sentence for firearm possession. Jail records show Walker was
released on parole in December 2023. However, the Cuyahoga County Inmate
Search shows he is now a "Violator At Large."

Anyone who knows anything about Walker's whereabouts, is asked to
immediately contact Cleveland Heights police detectives at 216-291-3883 or Crime Stoppers of Cuyahoga County. In addition to Walker, a 16-year-old
boy has also been charged in connection with the shooting.
