I cannot buy respect, it's true. I can, however, buy an AR-15, and
    that's pretty close.

You've mistaken respect for bears watching.

Buying an AR-15 is one thing, using it effectively is another. You most
likely can't even properly BZO the weapon.

If you have a medical emergency, stop reading, log off, and dial 911!

Well, we recruited a Republican with an AR-15 because he told us he
knew how to shoot. We got him to the rally and on top of a building
with a 150-meter unobstructed line of sight. All the MFer did was to
spray the crowd... we needed *one* clean shot!

Anybody with an AR-15 is just into marching around wearing the
costume. The serious shooter would have chosen a Remington 760...
compared to that, an AR is simply for show. Well... if I were going
into a target-rich environment like an elementary school where it's
like shooting fish in a bucket, the "assault rifle" thingy would work,
but when the first shot is probably all you're going to get, you
should be using a decent rifle.

It's a shame. He had a good shot and wasted it with a toy gun
    designed for costume parties.
