The minimum wage puts younger and lower-skilled people out of work. Abolish it to create more employment for young people.

In which scenario is a person better off?

    a) Minimum wage of $20 / hour, but employers won't hire 16-year-olds because
they only bring in revenue of $10 / hour. 16-year-olds have no jobs, earn
    $0 per week.

    b) No minimum wage. Employers hire 16-year-olds at $9 / hour, make $1 / hour
off kids' time. 16-year-olds working 15 hours a week make $135 per week.

Clearly b) is better for a 16-year-old looking to make a little money.

You mean unskilled Republicans and illegal immigrants.

Normal white people refuse to do those jobs anyway.

Maybe just horsewhip the dirty little white trash shits instead of paying
money they don't deserve. It worked in the good old days of slavery that these republicans look back upon with jealous envy.

In Denmark we have no official minimum wage, but rather a wage agreed
upon collectively by representatives from the employers, employees
(the various unions), and the government. We call it 'three-parties-negotiations' and it is known as 'The Danish Model'.
It's been going on for over a hundred years. There are separate
negotiations for the private and public sector.

It's not only about wages, but pretty much all the relevant topics.
Work hours, time off, pensions, education, physical and mental health
    issues, etc.

The effective minimum wages per hour are USD 19,10 for unskilled
workers over 18 years old, and USD 20 for the skilled workers. For
people under 19 it is about USD 10 per hour. Most people do make
considerably more than that, though, and the average hourly wage in
Denmark is USD 34. On top of the wages paid, the employers are also
paying into the workers' pension funds. 8%, I believe, and 12.5%
towards the 5 weeks per year paid leave everyone is entitled to. Which
means the real wage is about 25% higher, but we are only getting 80%
    of it paid out.

And then there is the 40% income tax...

In the face of rising inflation what
does a pay freeze amount to except a pay
cut?. Congress gets pay raises "to keep
up with inflation", the military gets
pay raises "to keep up with inflation",
    the working poor get.....nothing. Same
amount of work, pay that is declining
in purchasing power = a pay cut.

That could be for either of two reasons:

    1. Employers are paying more workers above the minimum wage
    2. When the minimum wage rises, employers lay off some people, and now those
people aren't working at or below minimum wage — they aren't working at all

ORLANDO, Fla. – A man was arrested on early Sunday morning after witnesses reported that he had sexually assaulted a woman near an Orlando bar, according to the police department.

Police said they responded to reports of the attack at 1:57 a.m. on Sunday near the Stonewall Bar at 741 W. Church St.

Upon arrival, police found 56-year-old Sammy Pursley nearby with no shirt, his shorts falling slightly and his belt unbuckled, an arrest affidavit shows.

According to the affidavit, Pursley claimed that he had been trying to help a woman when someone accused him of rape, prompting him to run away and his shorts to starting falling.

[TRENDING: Become a News 6 Insider]

However, detectives said several witnesses reported seeing the sexual assault take place, describing the man responsible as “bald, no shirt, baggy shorts” and “wearing no shirt.”

Police said that the woman had been “extremely intoxicated” and was unable to stand. The witnesses were responsible for chasing off Pursley after they realized what he was doing, investigators said.

Pursley was arrested and face a charge of sexual battery involving an intoxicating substance. He is held on $25,000 bond.
