Vincent Scott is being charged with attempted rape, assault, resisting arrest, public intoxication and drug paraphernalia

A man was arrested for attempting to rape and rob a woman at a McDonald’s Wednesday morning. Vincent Scott, 39, was apprehended on the scene by Mobile police.

The victim was walking back to her car from the McDonald’s on Government Street where Scott entered from her passenger seat asking her for money, police said. When she refused, he began to physically assault her.

Afterwards, he jumped on top of her and attempted to pull her pants down. The victim was able to scream out for help and was helped out by others who also called the authorities.

The suspect fled the scene and was shortly located by the authorities. After resisting, he was arrested a couple of yards away from the McDonald’s. The victim was then taken to a nearby hospital to treat the injuries sustained from the assault.

Scott has been charged with first degree attempted rape, resisting arrest, third degree robbery, third degree assault, possession of drug paraphernalia and first degree sexual abuse.
