RICHMOND HEIGHTS, Ohio — 18-year-old Keyon Stephens -- who was wanted by the Richmond Heights Police Department for aggravated murder in connection with a deadly shooting last year -- has now been arrested.
Members of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force took Stephens into custody Friday morning at a residence in the 800 block of Ruple Road in Cleveland.
The shooting, which dates back to Sept. 7, happened in the 100 block of Ruth Ellen Drive in Richmond Heights.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found 29-year-old Dewon Que’Shawn Lee dead in a parking lot with gunshot wounds.
Stephens was later identified as a suspect and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
“Our task force continues to have a strong partnership with the Richmond Heights Police Department,” said U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott. “Today was another example of our partnership leading to the arrest of a wanted, violent fugitive.”
Anybody with information regarding any wanted fugitive is asked to call the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force at 1-866-4WANTED. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
