A Baton Rouge teenager is accused in the August rape of a 13-year-old girl who tested positive for HIV two months after the sexual assault.
Justin Posey, 17, 3118 Jackson Ave., was charged Wednesday with third-degree rape by an East Baton Rouge Parish grand jury. A conviction on the charge carries up to 25 years in prison.
The girl told hospital staff and police that Posey raped her while she was at her uncle’s house on Midway Avenue with some of her cousins and friends.
The case has been assigned to state District Judge Beau Higginbotham.
