Lately you are probably correct.
In years past it dealt largely with the
politics about gun laws.
Hence very heavy on any use of firearms in the news.
But lately a few seem to be working hard to
flood and poison the group.
So, mass automatic mailings and cross posting to a
number of newsgroups.

You're not wrong. A few years ago most post were on-topic. But
there are a few left wingnuts who commandeered and ruined it.
I can go for days without seeing a post re guns. If you've got
any, please share.
