DAYTON, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) -- Montgomery County Prosecutor Mat Heck, Jr. announced Teaven Lee Curtiss, 51 of Dayton had been sentenced to life in prison in a rape case involving a 4-year-old victim. Curtiss was sentenced to life in prison without parole,
plus an additional 5 years.
The victim reported to her mother she had been assaulted. Investigators said the abuse happened between November of 2017 through October of 2018.
Curtiss was indicted on June 24, 2020 with charges:
One count of Rape of a child under 10 years of age
One count of Gross Sexual Imposition of a child under 13 years of age
On Dec. 10 the jury found Curtiss guilty as charged. The trial lasted for four days.
