MILLBURY, Ohio — Jonathon Christopher Wright, 24, faces 64 felony counts and is accused of sex crimes with minor children.
The Lake Township Police Department executed the felony arrest warrant on the Toledo man on Thursday.
He is accused of rape, attempted rape, gross sexual imposition, and pandering obscenity involving a minor.
All of the charges involve minor children.
Chief Mark Hummer of Lake Township said Thursday's arrest was the result of an ongoing investigation by Lake Township Police, Wood County Children Services, Wood County Prosecutor's Office, and Toledo Police.
Chief Hummer says around three months ago, a parent approached police after being told certain things by that parent's child.
That child is one of the alleged victims of Wright.
According to the indictment, Wright abused three different children since 2014, all under the age of 10; the youngest being between four and five years old.
The indictment says one victim was abused multiple times between 2014 and 2019.
Chief Hummer says the charges filed reflect incidents happening as many as five years ago.
He says the alleged crimes happened at various homes in Lake Township, and that the victims and Wright knew each other.
Chief Hummer believes Wright is the only suspect in this case.
Wright was taken into custody without incident near his home on Navarre Avenue.
He is held without bail at the Wood County Justice Center.
An arraignment date for Wright has not yet been set.
