The Domino’s pizzas arrived at the homes of federal judges without explanation.
The message was clear: We know where you live.

The mysterious pizza deliveries are happening at the same time that President Trump, his aides and their allies have started an intimidation campaign against the legal system — through executive orders, social media posts, public comments
and even articles of impeachment. The evident goal is to spread anxiety and fear
among judges and keep them from fulfilling their constitutional duty to insist that the Trump administration follow the law. The campaign extends to private-sector lawyers, with Mr. Trump trying to damage the business of several firms he does not like. The scope of these tactics can sometimes get lost amid the pace of news, and we want to pause to connect the dots and explain the seriousness of what’s happening.

We also want to honor the people who are taking a public stand against this campaign, including Chief Justice John Roberts, and urge more lawyers to do so in the days ahead. Every time a judge or lawyer steps forward, it becomes easier
for others to speak out and harder for Mr. Trump to isolate any one person standing up for the law. He is straining the American system of checks and balances in ways it has not been tested in many decades. The most effective way to protect that system starts with courage from more people who believe in it.

The primary targets for intimidation have been federal judges, the latest being Judge James Boasberg. Last weekend, he ruled that the Trump administration could
not send 261 migrants to a prison in El Salvador without first holding a hearing. The administration continued deportation flights nonetheless, and its lawyers have since dissembled about the timeline. In response, Mr. Trump described Judge Boasberg, who was appointed to the bench by George W. Bush and elevated by Barack Obama, as a “troublemaker,” “agitator” and “Radical Left
Lunatic” who should be impeached. A Republican House member filed articles of impeachment hours later, and Elon Musk announced he had made the maximum campaign contribution to several House members who supported the articles.

Such has been known now for over a generation.  The advertisers
are pros, and they add glue, paint, wood chips, petroleum and all
sorts of other crap to the food that gets advertised on TV and in

through executive orders, social media posts, public

scope of these tactics can sometimes get lost amid the pace
of news, and we want to pause to connect the dots and
explain the seriousness of what’s happening.

We also want to honor the people who are taking a public
stand against this campaign, including Chief Justice John
Roberts, and urge more lawyers to do so in the days ahead.
Every time a judge or lawyer steps forward, it becomes
easier for others to speak out and harder for Mr. Trump to
isolate any one person standing up for the law. He is
straining the American system of checks and balances in
ways it has not been tested in many decades. The most
effective way to protect that system starts with courage
from more people who believe in it.

The primary targets for intimidation have been federal
judges, the latest being Judge James Boasberg. Last
weekend, he ruled that the Trump administration could not
send 261 migrants to a prison in El Salvador without first
holding a hearing. The administration continued deportation
flights nonetheless, and its lawyers have since dissembled
about the timeline. In response, Mr. Trump described Judge
Boasberg, who was appointed to the bench by George W. Bush
and elevated by Barack Obama, as a “troublemaker,”
“agitator” and “Radical Left Lunatic” who should be
impeached. A Republican House member filed articles of
impeachment hours later, and Elon Musk announced he had
made the maximum campaign contribution to several House
    members who supported the articles.

Trump's "Proud Boys" terrorist gang will murder some
federal judges before the end of April.

Nope, no federal judges will be murdered.  Some Proud Boys
may end up in jail, though!

    Dawn

P.S.  Dear Federal Judges, please do enjoy your free
pizzas!! I like Domino's, too, although, it is a bit
fattening! Perhaps the NYT could encourage the PBs to start
    sending Papa Johns instead??

    Papa Johns ewww.

"Former US attorney found dead in Virginia home at 43 after
    consuming Papa Johns pizza"

    https://thehill.com/homenews/state-watch/5209276-former-us-attorney
    - found-dead-in-virginia-home-at-43/

I read the article; where does it say anything about pizza?!

    Dawn

i really hate that pizzas that are delivered look NOTHING as
advertised!!! like the pizzas were starving and dehydrated.

Such has been known now for over a generation.  The advertisers
are pros, and they add glue, paint, wood chips, petroleum and all
sorts of other crap to the food that gets advertised on TV and in
print.  If you were able to stand eating any of that food, you
would die.  I doubt that any dog would eat it.

    Dawn

i've stopped ordering from major franchises. there are many local
restaurants here, but.... they are more expensive, way more
expensive. these days, whenever we do order, its mostly chinese.

I haven't bought takeout pizza since I got a bread maker. Makes great
    pizza dough.

started an intimidation campaign against the legal system
    — through executive orders, social media posts, public

out on the streets, just swat 'em and give them a taste of
their own medicine. They'll have to tangle with someone a
lot more lethal than a pizza delivery driver.

Someone needs to remind them that when they go back to jail
that the pizza there, if any, will not taste as nearly as
good as the ones they are sending to the Judges.

    Dawn

did you  have bad pizza in jail

    No!

% is just teasing you. i was once in a jail like environment
for a few days, they call it a hospital ward, but its jail
    like. 3rd fucking floor.

I'm sorry, Jojo!  I am sure that you've had your cadre of
doctors, therapists, etc., who have tried all sorts of
medication, therapies, etc., to improve your life and for which
they can bill your insurance. In addition to all of that, I would
recommend walking & reading (or, even audio books with the
former!)  I know that such sounds easy and even trivial, but I
have found doing those things to be helpful when I have gone
through some depression.  Just staying active & productive is so
    very important!!

    Dawn

nurses do reading stuff. it was boring actually, boring AF!

sometimes we think we know ,
