North Kansas City police are investigating a report of indecent exposure
after a mom and her young daughter witnessed a man who claimed to be a
woman allegedly expose himself in a YMCA women’s locker room.

The mother, who spoke with local news this week, and her seven-year-old daughter entered the locker room after a children’s swim lesson. As she
and her daughter left a bathroom stall, they saw a naked man. When the
mother questioned why the man was in the women’s locker room, he said
something like, “‘Honey, I’m a woman,'” she reported.

She and her daughter left the locker room and reported the incident.

In a statement, the YMCA of Greater Kansas City said it was “aware of a reported incident in the locker room at the North Kansas City YMCA on
    April 12, 2025.”

“We continue to investigate the incident and are unable to provide further details at this time,” the statement read. “We also are cooperating with
the North Kansas City Police Department as they conduct their
investigation. The safety and well-being of all of our members is a
priority, and we take this concern seriously.”

“We follow all state and local laws, and individuals are allowed to use
the locker room or restroom that they identify with,” the statement
continued. “At the North Kansas City YMCA, we also have four private
universal changing rooms available, separate from the larger shared locker rooms, for anyone who prefers the privacy they offer.”

The mother spoke to Fox4 on the condition of anonymity and emphasized that
her gripe was not with the hot-button issue of gender identity.

“This is not a case of transitional status,” she said. “This is an issue
of somebody showing their body parts to my child in a room where she
should be safe from such things.”

Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey launched an investigation in
August of last year into a fitness chain for a similar problem. Life Time Fitness reportedly allowed Eris Montano, a transgender-identifying male
who exposed himself in the women’s locker room, to access the female space despite numerous complaints from female clients.

Montano’s membership was revoked after “Life Time was presented with
multiple, publicly available statements which could affect the safety and security at one of our clubs,” a spokeswoman said at the time.

“As Attorney General, I will vigorously defend and enforce Missouri’s
laws. You face both potential criminal and civil liabilities, and you can expect to receive civil investigative demands from my office in short
order,” Bailey said in a notice of investigation addressed to Life Time’s
CEO. “If you insist on endangering women and young girls in our state, in
open defiance of the law, be assured you will face the consequences.”

Where are the real men in Kansas City? This pervert needs a ride around
city at the end of a rope.

No child should be subjected to this.
