• Protectors for square wooden chair legs on laminate floor

From David@21:1/5 to All on Tue Oct 1 18:12:11 2024
We have some Ikea chairs with chunky square legs which we use round a
    dining table.

So far we have been using stick on felt feet, but these soon come loose
    when sliding across the floor.

Searched turn up some devices a bit like short condoms which (from the pictures) seem to fit round table and chair legs.

Is there a reliable solution for square legs?

    Cheers

I used a nail on plastic button for ours. Ok on Vinyl floor so far,

We used screw-on square Teflon coated sliders for our bamboo flooring.
They've been fine, so far, and certainly stay in place better than the
    stick-on felt we previously used.

If you're happy with felt pads, you can buy nail on, plastic disks, that
    have felt pads on them.

Yup used some PTFE plastic slider buttons that have a nail sticking out
the back - just hammer into the ends of the legs.

Works fine on my engineered oak floor.

    Bit like:
