    A man accused of causing the death of a cyclist will stand trial at Teesside Crown Court.

    Paul Dilks was charged with causing death by careless driving on March 12, 2021. The 47-year-old is accused of driving a BMW 'without due care and attention' on Cargo Fleet Lane, Middlesbrough.

    Cyclist Tesform Hebtemichael, 33, was taken to James Cook University Hospital with serious injuries. However, he sadly died five days after the collision.

    Dilks, of College Road, Thorntree, appeared at Teesside Magistrates' Court in September, last year, and the case was committed to Teesside Crown Court.

    He will stand trial at the Middlesbrough court which is estimated to last three days.
