Is BBC REWIND up and running yet?
The piece about earlier suggested that you would be able to do searches
of the archive but all I can see on the BBC website is a series of compilations of clips under various subjects.
Yes it seems to be very underwhelming. I'm not interested in brief
2-minute clips of things. I'd like to see complete programmes and all episodes of a series.

Should read!
I get the feeling they might have publicised it too early and it is NOT
ready for public use.

The naive did not understand that getting all the rights sorted out requires lawyers who are not known for their speedy work generally.

I suspect that they are all films taken by or for the BBC so they will
be owners of the rights..

What happened to repeat fees? Are they a thing of the past? I
thought my mum used to get 50% of the original fee if the programme
was repeated.

Often, the contract with the BBC specifies either a maximum number of
repeats or a maximum time after which the production may not be
broadcast or streamed.
This was a problem with the Prisoner TV series, and is the reason it was
not repeated until long after the original showings.
The Prisoner was not a BBC series.

This does not run, just goes into a loop?

This one sounds as if we will not be able to search the archive, just see more compilations.

Who was yer mum?
And I would take issue with their phrase "a vast portion of the Corporation’s
archive". What they mean is a few clips, each of a couple of minutes, from their news department.

everything went out live in those days and almost nothing remains.

Thank you. I see she once played a Lama (or Llama?)
