  • Radio 4 Monday morning

    This morning the 'Today' studio was evacuated due to an alarm. Audio
    from the World service was substituted. I assume it was a recording.
    World Service AIUI is also based at Broadcasting House.

    Why did they do this? Would it not have been far more logical to cut
    to 5 Live (from Salford) where the presenter could have explained the
    situation elegantly, 'We welcome listeners to Radio 4 who have joined
    us due to a technical problem. Radio 4 will return to the Today
    programme as soon as possible.'

    My carer bought me one. She was in the Army. It had an Army label in
    it. I thought it would last a long time but it didn't.

    They should hav put on bbc tv news sound instead.

    I haven't owned a vest since childhood. However, I wear T-shirts
    most of the year, and in the winter the next layer is a
    sweatshirt, so I suppose I am putting them to that use.

    Radio 3 didn't seem disrupted at all. Was it that only part of NBH (including Today and Radio 4 con) was evacuated, or is the Petroc Tralawney breakfast show recorded? What happened to Radio 1 and Radio 2?

    Like many others, I was surprised that RAdio 4 didn't take Radio 5 live from Salford. That would seem appropriate for a live news programme.

    Radio 2 comes from Wogan House (nee Western House) Separate building to
    BH and NBH
